The new black deck brings in fresh mechanisms that expand the deck's strategic depth, introducing several new characters that were previously absent from the series. Out of the 143 total cards, 22 are parallel cards featuring alternate artwork, and three of them are special reprints with new thematic illustrations of highly-used generic cards from the sets up to Booster 2.
